30 Day Makeup Challenge

I decided to do this so that you can learn a bit more about me!
Rather than doing it in 30 Days, I am going to do it as questions in this post.

. . .

So lets begin

. . .

1) When did you start putting on makeup?
- It was probably when I was apron 17. I was always interested in it but never really used it myself. I always watched videos but never took it into practice.

2) How did you learn to put makeup on?
-As I said I always watched videos and then it was a case of practicing it so that I got used to it.

3) Favourite Brand
- It completely depends what product I'm using -

-face products- I don't have a preference

- eyeshadows- probable Urban Decay because of the pigmentation

-lips- Mac lipsticks are my fave

4)Do you like wearing Foundation? (if so whats your favourite and colour)
-I only started wearing foundation when I was 18 so I've only experimented for 2 years. I prefer liquid to others. When it comes to colour, I am usually fair/ medium depending on the brand.
My all time favourite foundation that I've tried is Rimmel Wake Me up Foundation. However recently I have been using and enjoying the MakeUp Forever HD Foundation in N120.

5)Favourite lipstick, lipgloss and lipliner

-lipgloss- I don't ever wear lipgloss, Im not really a big fan

-lipliner- Charlotte Tilbury- Lip Cheat Lipliner in Pillow Talk

6) Do you like wearing false eyelashes? (strip or individual)
-I do wear eyelashes because I feel like they finish a look, I don't wear them everyday however. I prefer strip eyelashes as I personally find them easier.

7) Favourite eyeshadow colour
-I love browns because I feel that they work with all other colours and are really buildable.

8) Whats your favourite daytime look?
-I always do a simple shadowed eye; usually brown shades. I finish this with a winged liner. However my lipstick constantly changes.

9) Photo of your makeup collection

10) Favourite Makeup Brush?
- Mac 217- blending brush
-I have to include the Real Techniques Blending Sponge too

11) Do you like wearing bronzers? (if yes, what brand)
- I dont have a favourite brand but it is a must for me. I love the sun kissed look and therefore wear it everyday

12) Favourite Mascara
-Benefit They're Real Mascara

13) Where do you keep your makeup?

19) Favourite Concealer
- Rimmel Wake Me Up
20) Favourite Eyeshadow Primer
- Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
21) Where do you purchase makeup?
- I prefer to purchase them from the store so that I can have a thorough look at what I'm buying. If I don't have a store where I live I opt for a well known online store instead.

22) Favourite Toner
-I love the brand Simple skin care; especially the toner

23) Favourite eyeshadow palette and blush palette
-At the minute its got to be the Revolution 2016 Collection Palette because of the variety of shades

I don't wear blush often to need a palette, so I always buy them individually

24) Which do you prefer: cream, liquid, matte, powder, sheer or shimmer eyeshadows?
- I like to use pressed powder eyeshadow- both matte and shimmer
25) Favourite Eyeliner
- I prefer liquid eyeliner- I am currently using the Rimmel Scandaleyes pen

26) Do you wear makeup everyday?
- Most days I do because of work. If I have a day where I am not doing anything important than I will go bare faced, I would just moisturise and thats it
27) Favourite Powder
Im not really fussy when it comes to powders. I do however like the Nars translucent setting powder
28) Favourite Makeup Remover
- All time favourite is the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

I hope you have learned a bit more about me and have enjoyed this type of post

Silver Based Prom Makeup

This is a practice look on my client -

I used the Revolution Palette for this makeup look as it has such a wide variety of colours in it !

. . .

. . .

Due to the clients dress I used silvers and blues for the first practice so that it matched her dress.

. . .

EYES!

I used dark blues from the palette to create a smokey eye on both eyes, and then blended it out. As the lid colour i used a silver to tie in with the beading on her dress. My client wasn't 100% sure on whether she wanted a wing or not, so I did one eye with and one without.
For the lower lash I used the same deep blue as the crease so that it blended together.

FACE!

-BENEFIT - the porefessinal

-LAURA MERCIER- foundation primer

- MAC- charged water skin hydrating mist

- RIMMEL FOUNDATION- wake me up (not sure on shade - was her own)

-RIMMEL CONCEALER- wake me up (classic beige)

-L'OREAL POWDER- true match (golden beige)

-TOPSHOP EYE BRIGHTENER- moonlight

-TOO FACED BRONZER/BLUSH - rachael + ross

-CHARLOTTE TILBURY HIGHLIGHTER- bar of gold

LIPS!

The lipstick I chose to use was a Charlotte Tilbury shade in Penelope Pink.
The reason I went for this nude is because I had gone heavy on the eyes. Also I knew that a darker lip would be harder to maintain; considering she would be having lots of photos, dancing and eating a meal.

. . .

I hope you enjoyed this prom look as much as I did creating it!

Redemption Palette Acid Brights

For starters I would like to apologise for the length of time I have been away! I can ensure you I will be getting back on it now, because I have been so busy over the last couple of months!

. . .

With that out of the way, lets begin!

. . .

For this look I have used the Revolution  Redemption Palette Acid Brights !

I love the colours in this palette; they are so vibrant and pigmented. I admit they look a bit scary to start off with but its fun to play around with them and see what works and what doesn't!

I kind of just went with it for this look, I wanted to see how i could use these colours and what they were capable of creating.

I used the pinks, purples and blues for the face, to add depth to parts, such as the cheeks and forehead. Before hand I had my usual base on so that skin had a even tone.

For the eyes i created a wing with a normal brown kohl eyeliner; very faintly so I had an outline. I then went over this using the colours from the palette. Evidently making it more well fitted for the look.

I used the silver for the eyebrows and the lower lash line. For the crease I chose the pink, because its well pigmented and therefore would have looked the most shocking.

Considering this was my first time using such colours in this way, I am very happy with the outcome, and will definitely being trying them out more often.

Date Night

I decided to create this look as I think it is very versatile; as it can be used for many different occasions such as proms or dates. This is what I chose to use it for as I was heading out anyway!

. . .

In order to create this look, I decided to stick to one palette-

Revolution Palette 2016 Collection

I love this palette so much because of how many colours it contains, and the fact you can create so many different looks with the palette. The colours that I have had the chance to use have been both pigmented and blendable, which I love because the palette is such a reasonable price for the size of the palette.

. . .

EYES !

I used a couple of different brown shades and then a rose gold shade to create my look. I love a brown smokey eye with a rose gold tone added to it. I personally think it can suite anyone and looks stunning on all skin tones.

*Crease-
- SHADE 1- I used this as my transition shade because I thought it was a suitable brown; as it was pale and matte
-SHADE 2- this was then used to add bit more depth to my crease
-SHADE 3- as this was a darker shade I used it on my crease and then blended it up; in order to create the smokey look

*Lid-
- SHADE 3- this was used in the very outer-corner to add depth to the smokey eye
-SHADE 4- I used this on the inner corner of my lid; the rose gold shade really added an extra element to the eye, I feel like it made the eye look more complete

*Lower Lash-
-SHADE 4- this was used all the way across my lash line
-SHADE 3- this was used on the very outer corner of my lash line

*Eyeliner-
-RIMMEL EYELINER (waterline)- nude
-RIMMEL EYELINER (wing)- scandal eyes black

*Tear Duct-
-MAC PIGMENT- white
-MAC PIGMENT- kitschmas

*Mascara-
-MAYBELLINE- great lash blackest black
-RIMMEL KATE- black

. . .

Completed eye look-

I thoroughly enjoyed creating this look because I think once completed it really made my eyes pop. Also the fact that it can be worn by basically everyone makes it the perfect smokey eye.

. . .

FACE!

-BENEFIT - the porefessinal

-LAURA MERCIER- foundation primer

- MAC- charged water skin hydrating mist

- L'OREAL FOUNDATION- infallible 24H (natural rose)

-RIMMEL CONCEALER- wake me up (classic beige)

-L'OREAL POWDER- true match (golden beige)

-ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS- brow definer (chocolate)

-ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS- pro pencil (base 1)

-MISS SPORTY- clear mascara

-TOPSHOP EYE BRIGHTENER- moonlight

-TOO FACED BRONZER/BLUSH - rachael + ross

-CHARLOTTE TILBURY HIGHLIGHTER- bar of gold

. . .
LIPS!
I wore a nude with this look because I was going for a meal and so didn't want it to be noticeable when my lipstick comes off

The lipstick I chose to use was a Charlotte Tilbury shade in Penelope Pink

. . .

I hope you enjoyed this look, and love creating it as much as I did, and can find many different uses for it too.

Too Faced Sugar Pop Palette Tutorial

Recently I have been loving the Too Faced Sugar Pop Palette. However I have only used certain colours in certain looks. So today I decided to use the whole palette to create a vibrant eye.

. . .

Lets get straight into it!

. . .

EYES !

*Crease-
-Malted Milk Ball (1st colour)
-Blackberry (2nd colour)
-Sugared Violet (3rd colour)

*Outer-Corner of Lid-
-Strawberry Ice

*Inner-Corner of Lid-
-Macaron

*Centre of Lid-
-Peach Fuzz

*Lower-Lash Line (outer-corner)-
-Blue Raspberry

*Lower-Lash Line (inner-corner)-
-Bubblegum

*Brow Bone-
-Rock Candy

*Eyeliner-
-RIMMEL EYELINER (waterline)- nude
-RIMMEL EYELINER (wing)- scandaleyes black

*Tear Duct-
-MAC PIGMENT- white
-MAC PIGMENT- kitschmas

*Mascara-
-MAYBELLINE- great lash blackest black
-RIMMEL KATE- black

This is the finished eye look-

I thoroughly enjoyed creating this eye look. Primarily because I really didn't know what to expect because the colours are a lot brighter than the usual shadows I tend to use. With that said I think it came out rather good, all of the shadows were well pigmented and lendable. Which meant the finished look was a bright smokey eye, well blended and well pigmented.

. . .

FACE !

-BENEFIT - the porefessinal

-L'OREAL- infallible mattifying base

- MAC- charged water skin hydrating mist

- L'OREAL FOUNDATION- infallible 24H (natural rose)

-STILA FOUNDATION- (not 100% on shade)

-RIMMEL CONCEALER- wake me up (classic beige)

-L'OREAL POWDER- true match (golden beige)

-ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS- brow definer (chocolate)

-ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS- pro pencil (base 1)

-MISS SPORTY- clear mascara

-TOPSHOP EYE BRIGHTENER- moonlight

-TOPSHOP BRONZER- mohawke

-TOO FACED BRONZER/BLUSH - carrie + big

-TOPSHOP BLUSHER- dream phone

-TOPSHOP HIGHLIGHTER- sunbeam

. . .

LIPS !

-TOPSHOP- macaroon

Completed Look-

This look has definitely taught me that brighter colours aren't as scary as you think, and that they can create just as much of an impact than a brown smokey eye; if not more. I will definitely be using brighter colours in my everyday makeup routine.

I hope you enjoyed this post, and have managed to think of ways in which you can use your brightest colours to create a dramatic smokey eye !
